Overview
What is FediSuite?
FediSuite is an open platform for the Fediverse. You plan and publish posts for several accounts, evaluate reach and interactions, and use your own history as a decision aid for the next post.
In short
FediSuite sits as a management layer on top of your connected accounts. The accounts stay on their instances, and FediSuite connects to them and offers functions that go beyond a single instance: writing, scheduling and publishing posts for several accounts at once, drafts, a calendar, campaigns and labels for organizing, a searchable archive of your own posts and analytics on growth, interactions and estimated reach.
The Fediverse is not uniform: every instance has its own character limits, media rules and visibility levels. When you connect an account, FediSuite recognizes the platform, loads these rules from the instance and takes them into account in the Composer. Accounts are connected via OAuth2 wherever the platform supports it.
The interface is designed to be used with a keyboard and a screen reader. A blind user has tried out the screen reader experience in practice. There is no certificate for it, and reports about barriers are welcome. More on this is in the feature overview.
The loop: publish, measure, understand
Publishing and analytics are not separate tools in FediSuite. What the evaluation shows appears again where the next post is written.
-
Step 1
Publish
You write in the Composer. FediSuite checks the post against the rules of the selected accounts and publishes right away or at the scheduled time.
-
Step 2
Measure
Followers, favourites, boosts, replies and the estimated reach are refreshed regularly and recorded over time.
-
Step 3
Understand
Analytics and tips show which times, formats, topics and hashtags are associated with better results for your audience, each with its data basis.
-
Step 4
Write better
Matching hints appear in the Composer, along with a warning when something similar was published recently. Then the loop starts again.
The hints are based on the data of the account in question, not on general social media rules. They show correlations, not proven causes, and they are no guarantee that a post will do better.
The Fediverse has no uniform impression count. Reach is therefore estimated with a worked-out formula, split into net and gross reach and taking boosters into account. The model follows the FediWings reach model by Ralf Stockmann. The calculation is public: Methodology of the reach model (opens in a new tab).
What FediSuite is not
FediSuite is not a social network of its own and not an instance where you get an account that talks to other servers. It does not replace a Mastodon app or another timeline interface either: for reading and following you keep using your usual client. FediSuite takes care of planning, publishing, organizing and evaluating.
You write the texts yourself, and FediSuite does not generate posts. It also promises no reach and no follower growth. It shows you what has worked on your account so far, and you decide what to make of it.
Two ways to use FediSuite
Both ways are equal and use the same software. The difference is who runs the server.
Hosted instance
No server of your own and no installation: in the instance directory you pick an instance and create your account, for example on app.fedisuite.com (opens in a new tab). The hosted instance is free.
Join FediSuiteSelf-hosting
Run FediSuite on your own infrastructure with Docker Compose, using the app, a database and two workers. You decide about server, updates and data, and you can also offer an instance to other people.
Go to installationThere is also an Android app, likewise under the GPL-3.0 (F-Droid (opens in a new tab)). It is at an older state than the web app and will be reworked over the coming weeks and months. The feature overview describes the web app.
Supported platforms
FediSuite supports more than 20 Fediverse platforms. Accounts are connected via OAuth2. Where a platform offers no suitable OAuth2 flow, signing in with credentials is required instead (badge “Login”).

Bluesky as a plugin
Bluesky is not part of the Fediverse because it is not built on ActivityPub. The connection therefore runs through a plugin that instance operators activate when needed. More under Plugins.
Open, without tracking, with control over your data
FediSuite is licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 (GPL-3.0), the web app as well as the Android app. You can read the source code, run FediSuite yourself, modify it and pass it on, as long as derived works are also published under the GPL-3.0. Bug reports, requests and contributions to the code are welcome.
The FediSuite app runs without trackers and without ads on the official instance app.fedisuite.com and when self-hosted. Whoever self-hosts decides about the infrastructure and the data of their own instance. You can download your data as an export, and the FediSuite account can be deleted as well.
