Fediverse Platforms: Analytics and Scheduling for 20+ Networks

Mastodon is only one part of the Fediverse. FediSuite connects accounts on more than 20 platforms and detects on its own which software an instance runs.

Composer (German interface) with six selectable accounts on different platforms and the option to publish to several accounts at once. On the right are preview, campaign and labels, publishing and an open panel with hints from the account’s own data.

Platforms FediSuite supports

The Mastodon family includes Mastodon, Pleroma, Akkoma, GoToSocial, Pixelfed, Friendica, Snac, Takahē, Mitra, GNU social, BizzFed and vutuv. On top of that come Vernissage, the Misskey family with Misskey, Sharkey, Calckey, Firefish and Iceshrimp, as well as PeerTube, Loops and WordPress with the ActivityPub plugin.

The platform pages describe how sign-in works and what FediSuite analyzes there.

  • Pixelfed for photos, PeerTube for video, Loops for short videos
  • Friendica as a social network, vutuv as a professional network
  • Misskey and its forks with notes and reactions

Rules of the instance instead of rigid assumptions

Even two instances running the same software can have different limits. FediSuite reads character limit, media count, media rules and visibility levels from the instance when you connect and applies them in the composer.

What works everywhere and what does not

FediSuite brings together the account data and publishing features each platform actually provides. The availability of interactions, follower growth and scheduling therefore varies. Estimated reach needs a booster list and is limited to Mastodon-compatible platforms. Notifications, thread splitting and media types also depend on the platform; see the platform pages and documentation for details.

More networks through plugins

The plugin system connects additional networks. One example is Bluesky: it is not built on ActivityPub and therefore strictly speaking not part of the Fediverse, but it can be added as a plugin.
